Ministry Enrichment Gathering
The Ministry Enrichment Gathering™ offers (arch)dioceses, regions, vicariates, and parish clusters the opportunity to collaborate with LTP in providing formation, prayer, and training for those involved in the Church’s liturgical ministries. Together we advance our common mission to promote the liturgical formation "of the faithful and also their active participation in the liturgy” (Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy, 19).
The Ministry Enrichment Gathering™ typically takes place on a Saturday, beginning in the morning and concluding early in the afternoon. The day begins with an opening address that explores the role of liturgy in a Catholic Christian's life through an innovative blend of storytelling, lecture, art, and music. The theme of the gathering will be reinforced throughout the day in a series of breakout sessions specially designed to assist in the spiritual, intellectual, and pastoral formation of the liturgical minister. Participants will also join in fellowship throughout the day: over lunch, at midday prayer, and at a concluding mystagogical reflection.
Anyone involved in liturgical ministry will find the Ministry Enrichment Gathering™ valuable. Liturgy coordinators, liturgy committee members, music ministers, ministry coordinators, teen and adult altar servers, ushers and greeters, extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion, liturgical environment ministers, lectors, sacristans, priests, deacons, seminarians, pastoral associates, directors of catechesis, and other members of the parish staff are all welcome to participate in the Ministry Enrichment Gathering™.
